Saturday Shabbat Service and Pot Luck Brunch
Feb 23 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Come join the TNS community this Saturday at Rabbi Barclay’s home for a very special teaching Shabbat, followed by a potluck brunch.  This is a special opportunity to learn what the prayers mean at deeper levels, as well as how to observe them in traditional ways. If you have ever had a question about what to do in a Shabbat service or why something is done, this is the time to come learn and explore a deeper relationship with the Sabbath.

Services and teaching will begin at 9:30 a.m., and will be followed by a potluck brunch.  Please bring a dairy/pareve dish to share with the community

The Simcha Series: A Celebration of Jewish Arts @ Temple Ner Simcha
Mar 3 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Temple Ner Simcha in Westlake Village is proud to present, “The Simcha Series: A Celebration of Jewish Arts”. This monthly series, produced by David Zasloff, features some of the greatest Jewish artists of the 21st Century, and will take place on the first Sunday of every month in 2019 (except October). There is no cover charge: all shows are free, open to the general public, and family friendly.

For the month of March our amazing High Holidays Cantor, Sam Glaser, will be performing in our sanctuary.

Sam Glaser performs for over 100,000 people annually worldwide, and is referred to by Moment Magazine as “one of the top 10 Jewish artists in the United States.” He has released 24 albums, is the former Executive Director of the Jewish Music Commission, and produced the annual American Jewish Song Festival. Sam is a 7 time winner of the ASCAP award, as well as the recipient of the Parent’s Choice, John Lennon, and International Songwriting Competition awards. His new book, “The Joy of Judaism” comes out in 2019; and his combination of Jewish wisdom, joy, musicianship, and commitment to “Ahavat Hashem” (love of God) is evident in every moment of his life.
