Temple Ner Simcha in Westlake Village is proud to present, “The Simcha Series: A Celebration of Jewish Arts”. This monthly series, produced by David Zasloff, features some of the greatest Jewish artists of the 21st Century, and will take place on the first Sunday of every month in 2019 (except October). There is no cover charge: all shows are free, open to the general public, and family friendly.
For the month of February Stefani Valadez, a well known Ladino musician, will be performing in our sanctuary.
Stefani Valadez has brought the rich beauty of Ladino music (the music of the Sephardic Jews of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco) around the world through her concerts and albums. She has been featured multiple times at the World Sacred Music Festival, the UCLA International Peace Festival, and the World Parliament of Religions in Barcelona. Having performed globally at venues that include the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the Universal Amphitheater, and universities around the glove, Stefani is considered one of the leaders of the revival of Ladino music internationally.
